World Cup Schedule For Ireland

The World Cup schedule for the 2019 Rugby tournament has been announced and from the looks of it, Ireland will have good opportunities to work with. As per the schedule Scotland and Ireland will play the opening game.

There will be a game with Japan six days after that. There are two other opponent teams who will play with Ireland in Pool A. As per the fixtures Ireland will commence playing on September 22nd which will be followed by a game with Japan; Ireland will then play in Europe and then there would be a game with the playoff winner. Among these teams, Europe 1 is ranked as the highest after Georgia as per their rankings and performance in the Rugby Europe Championship.

The schedule makes it favorable for Ireland on many aspects and they should be able to make it to the quarter finals accordingly. As per the games they played in 2015, Ireland had a hard time clearing the pool stage. As per the schedule, the tough competitors like Japan and Scotland would be cleared in the early part of the competition. After the game Ireland plays against Japan, the quarter finals would come up in three weeks, which will give them adequate time to prepare. If Ireland’s performance is seen two years back, they had played against France as the last game in the pool. This game was a game of attrition and many players of Ireland were injured while some suffered suspension in this game.

After that, the team was unable to hold up their performance and lost out to Argentina. Hence, the upcoming 2019 world cup schedule could not have been better planned for Ireland as they will get adequate time to rest and prepare for the quarter finals. The tournament tickets would go on sale the first month of 2018.
